J.T. Reno & the House of Stone in lights
but more important.........
what the heck is that white stuff on the ground?
J.T. just arrived, as the snowstorm delayed his arrival
Last minute preparations before we kick things off.
Ah; the guilty culprits!
Of what? I'm not certain
but rest assurd, they are guilty of something.
Well for starters, J.T. is guilty of unsanitary microphone hygiene;
Licking your microphone is just NOT allow; in the world of music!
Here is Stone, Guilty of what you ask?
In Stone's own words.....Well, where do I start?
ahhh, then there is Did'r Z....
Never guilty per say, but ALWAYS entertaining!
Leviticus J is guilty of leading a secret life.
Here is a glimpse into his secret desire….
He has always wanted to be a Rock n’ Roll Pirate!
Here is David, the manager of the Drifter.
He is prepping that dance floor for maximum dancing pleasure.
(love that sprinkly stuff!)
O.K. boys, it's time to get this boat floatin'...
kick it in gear....start this festia....anchors away....
on your mark, get set go.....Let the bull out of the shoot;
(you get the idea - time to start)
Here is a normal workday for these boys...
Grab your instrument of choice, use your God given talents
and enjoy the heck out of
whatever venue you have been given the opportunity to play
Tell me you can't see how much they LOVE what they do!
That fun on stage is just plain ole' infectious!!
Did'r Z & J.T. decide that sprinkly stuff on that huge dancing floor is too fun to pass up
So Stone & Leviticus J generously continue to play while these guys cut a rug!
(in a VERY manly sort of way and certainly no touching involved here!!)
Notice how the instruments are held like weapons...just in case.
O.K. ok ok; J.T. has an idea.....
So it is cold and stormy, no one is in the bar this evening
Let's make the best of this situation and apply a little of the
JT Reno Funbus magic.
J.T. talks to the band and lets them know the plan
So what would you do in this situation:
It is near zero degrees outdoors, a snowstorm has shut down the roads leading to town, the only people in the venue are the employees plus a couple customers stranded because of the weather.
~Some would pack it up for the night!
~Some would pretend there was a packed house!
~Some would even be upset!!
Not this band.....We take the JTReno Funbus quite seriously-Serious Fun that is!!
JT and the gang-got all the employees up on stage with them for a fun singalong to a favorite
"Sweet Home Alabama".
Here is the cast of characters (employees)
This is Crystal our bartender
She collects drumsticks.
This is Deborah, she has a secert desire to be a singer!
Our other bartendar Frank
He was too shy to sing with us on stage
Here is more of the Drifter Staff
A nicer bunch of people you wont meet anywhere
The staff enjoying their own personal concert
from J.t. Reno & the House of Stone
Stone belts out an original
with Leviticus J keeping perfect Rhythm
This is Tomas, he is on the Security Staff at the Drifter.
We were THRILLED to invite him on stage with us to share
his talent with the mouth harp!
The two gentlemen on the left were travelers from Tucson
who were stranded by the snowstorm, what the heck come on up
and join in the fun at the microphone!
Here is Justin, another guy on the Security Staff at the Drifter
This man has no fear, he joined the gang and even sang a song.
The gal in pink is Justins wife. Ooohh doggie this gal can DANCE!!
Did we mention they can DANCE!
J.T. is getting harrassed by Stone (again)
You go Stone-man, way to keep it real!
Ah now J.T.'s turn to harrass Stone -
Only he wrenches it up a notch and does it while Stone is singing.
The true trait of a "secret closet" singer,
grabbing the microphone off the stand!!
Here is Justin taking another crack at a song
Good thing J.T. has those "cheat sheets" with the words!
Ahhhh Ha, another secert closet singer!
So we mentioned the storm, but I really need to emphasize it was COLD
You know us babies from Tucson....but really here's the proof!
This little chick-a-dee is all fluffed up trying to keep warm!!
Hey look....This little chick-a-dee is all fluffed up trying to keep warm!!
The girls enjoy the sprinkly stuff on the floor too.
Besides that music is so darn good-you can't help yourself!!
The band continues to share their magic
J.T. sings an original off his CD 'Lights of Home'
Here is Stone ripping it up on the guitar!
Deborah takes a turn at singing with J.T.'s cheat sheets.
J.T. and Stone; advising Justin
that they are professionals and this should not be tried at home.
However they are here to help assist him thru this.
The boys are quite tickled with that last joke.
Did'r Z ya OK? buddy....you're not having a stroke are ya?
Whew, he was just laughing so hard his arm went limp.
Thank goodness, Did'r Z is such a 'gifted' bass player
what would we ever do with out him?
This happens all the time....
Leviticus J's drum solos tend to start small fires.
No worries he keeps an extinguisher nearby at all times.
The sweet harmonies this band puts out
are beyond compare (in a good way, honest!)
Here is our prize night WINNER
He got to bring home a "Lights of Home" CD
Here Stone is visiting with the folks during a break
Tomas joins in on a little 'Blueberry Blues' with the fellas
J.T. is wracking his brain trying to come up with
an appropriate comment for the next photo of Leviticus J
There really is no caption fitting this picture
it is just plain too funny!!
Belting out the tunes with the band.
Let's eavesdrop on Did'r Z thoughts for a moment
Hmmm... green chile, red chile, green chile, red chile?
Wonder if I can find brown gravy to put on the red chile chimi?
Getting ready to wrap up the set for the night
J.T. ponders...Is the rumor true??
Are the green chile chimis at the Snappy Mart next door
truly the best to be had?
J.t. Reno singing the "The Two Inside"
Adding the perfect accent with a tempid tap of the cymbals
J.T. Reno singing the last song and saying good night.
Here Leviticus J and Did'r Z
are counting the number of customers in the Drifter.
It's OK Deborah....She just heard the news,
J.T. Reno & the House of Stone were only playing
2 nights@ the Drifter in Silver City.
Dont worry we hope to be back soon!
J.T. is thinking of a good way to tell everyone about our adventure
in Silver City New Mexico this weekend.....
SNOWSTORM...... SNAPPY MART CHIMIS...... GROUP SINGING-
but can't forget the FUN !!
