Colorado greets us with some reallllly dark clouds

We seem to be heading right into the storm ahead

Oh yeah.. no going around this storm

As we head up a mountain pass the rain really starts to come down

the road side ditch is really starting to flow

even the road is beginnning to flood

the traffic is at a standstill now on this mountain pass

it's getting scarey now

Well...... we were at a standstill for over 3 hours There was a mud/rock slide that closed the mountain pass. We waited for the tractors to arrive and clear the road

On the road again

we encountered minimal road construction

we are leaving the colorado storms behind

time to head into Wyoming

JT decides to take a break from driving and lay down in the back of the truck

the open road beckons us

after a couple of hours of shut eye along side the road its the final day of travel

we enjoy the scenery of Wyoming

little spots of fog cover the hillsides

just like that we are South Dakota less than 30 mins from our destination

Heres the turn off to go to Stonehouse Saloon

We made it!

It took no time at all to find a campsite

the quicker we get up camp the faster we can get into downtown Sturgis

AT LAST!!! we are in Sturgis checking out the goodies for sale

I'm going to start at the end of the story first.......A great time was had by all !!! Now onto to the beginning of the story....
