JT Reno - Aug12-Thurs

Today is the day Morgan gets to ride a motorcycle

Getting ready for a ride

Morgan dons her helmet

Only one slight delay.....

Dead battery ....so it gets jumped and away we go...

That is until we reach Sturgis ......and the battery dies again

TK locates us dead as a doornail on the side of the road

JT explains whats goin' on

yup; says harley on this side too...that explains it

Morgan patiently awaits her ride

JT & TK locate the seat bolts

removing the seat now

Ah haaa there's that stinkin' battery

tightening connections?!?

disconnecting the battery?!?

Thank goodness TK rides prepared

Jumping the battery

charging the battery, once that is completed we scoot on down the street to a free motorcycle wash

We pulled into line for the bike wash and you'll never guess...yup the bike died there too

This is gramma flash all the way from St Paul Minnesota. Took her 3 days to ride to Sturgis on the back roads

we pull in just as the battery dies

opened the battery compartment one more time

yup, uh huh, just what we thought...dang battery is dead. Hmmmm thinkin' we oughta change the critter out

Moirgan find some shade as it has only taken us 4 hours to go 12 miles!!

HEy man...got the goods...lets install it quick!!

crowd across the street; Cheers for us as the cycle starts right up!

YES!! the job is finished now we can ride

TK is ready to ride!

Morgan is feelin' pretty groovy on the back of TK's hog, in downtown Sturgis

The Sturgis sign is a landmark you can see from anywhere downtown

We pull over to go see the Orange County Choppers booth

A Paul Sr look-a-like nearly fools us!

Nope we wait in the long line to see the real deal...Paul Sr is signing pictures. JT & Morgan decide to go take a closer look while TK & Tanya stand in the looooong line and dreadful heat.

Security is tight near the stage area BUT leave it Morgan; she spots a buddy she met yesterday and they are scooted to the front of the line!!!

Morgan brings us backstage to meet her friends. They ask if Morgan can hang out with them for the rest of the afternoon at the merch booth...Sure why not! These are the first people under 50 Morgan has talked to all week LOL

MEanwhile back at the ranch, errr I mean Elkview campground the hog roast is underway, the sweet smell of BBQ pork is lingering in the air

This isnt anything in particular..just a brief intermission form all the motorcycle shots of the day

The scenery is breath taking but we are due back at Elkview for a 5pm preformance, yikes time to head back to camp!

The crowds are awaiting the final say-so that the hog is cooked to perfection!

JT barely makes it with 3 minutes to spare

Larry's arm was twisted only slightly and he commands the stage!

JT jumps back into his seat and continues singing his setlist

winding things up for the evening now and notices Morgan has returned from town

The audience is attentive and appreciates the fine music

Morgan has arrived back from her day with Orange County Chopper guys. They would like to treat her to a VIP evening at the Broken Spoke mixer & OZZY OSBURONE concert at Buffalo Chip for all her hard work this afternoon. Dad discusses details and hands over some spending cash
